I owe at least $ to my attorney, and that's before the next hearing. Currently, I live in San, but the bitter, vengeful ex ran off to a town outside Bakersfield, the armpit of California. The town she lives in is a wart in the armpit of California. I have a beat up old truck that I own fair and square, I have a a new car that I am making payments on, but I cannot afford to continue the divorce if I continue to live in San and keep the car. The truck needs work, but was obtained before the marriage and is therefore not community property. The car on the other hand, though solely in my name, was obtained after we were married. I've been told that the car would be mine as as the truck was inoperable. My ex is driving her sister's car, which is about to get impounded. Even though the car has been in California for 3 years, they have not registered it here. That leave them with no car. I plan to move to Bakersfield to be closer to my, and the new car is a financial burden that is preventing me from paying people I owe money to. On the other hand, it is a reliable car. My truck is not. The flip side is that there are more jobs in San than in Bakersfield. Also, Bakersfield sucks balls. San is freaking awesome. At the same time, I've been trying to dump my mistress and she won't go away. Moving to Bakersfield would solve a lot of problems. But, they would create more. I don't know. What do you all think?
