for me because I have to spend it with my sister and her nasty tempered husband who without fail have several 'explosions' of temper about some damm trivial thing like he can't find his keys. He literally SCREAMS at her in front of anyone and everyone berates her etc. She just rolls her eyes and takes it has been this way for over 28 years so it's way too late to she ever leave him. Point here is, it ruins the holiday for the rest of us but we have a small family and she would be heartbroken if we were not there. They live in a house that would a mansion and it is decorated like something you would in a magazine. They are both retired professionals and travel the world have everything one could want and yet he is a foul tempered loudmouth who creates an atmosphere of tension and sadness. I would to have a Christmas alone in peace and quiet away from him.
