The collapse of communism rippled across half of Europe and beyond, and exposed half a century's worth of the interpretation of a powerful worldwide political doctrine as an untenable position. There is no New World Order after 9-11. There is a New Finally Joining An Already Existing World Order. Things did not change in the world after 9-11. We just finally saw things as they had already been for quite a while. Just because this country was shaken and stirred, and then, in response shook and stirred the rest of the world does not make it a pivotal moment in the history of the world. It makes it a pivotal moment in the history of this country.
