YOu know why they do not like you and you are not yet ready to change. Not every person (woman in this case) is wrong to be turned off by you. You are giving off negative vipes. Maybe you hoard the male friends you are competitive and think since you maybe knew him longer or like him you should be priority for him etc etc also maybe you size women up against you in the attraction chain . listen to your thoughts what do you think when you a woman..(you mention catty or jealous) that means you are probably catty and jealous but because you spend all your time with the guys where this is not an issue when one girl shows up and takes couple attention from you you show catty and jealous but do not think that is what they are. Not every woman is wrong if they run away from you . be little more self aware and stop hoarding the guys .

I read the modern column on NYT today and it shed some light to an issue I always suspected but could never articulate. I am 42 and always had local seeking fucking a good break up and breakups. Now I know it was because I did not know how to deal with conflicts. I had a very violent childhood and always thought subconsciously conflict means end. I have not had term relationships because I kept my mouth shut on about anything and when I could no longer keep up, I left the relationships. There were never big fights or drama just like the article I mentioned. Peaceful exit, but of course I always got hurt and repeated again. Now I really would like to have a term relationship but every time I think about sharing this side of me, I get. Who needs to know? I think my biggest obstacle now is should I tell any future prospect this why I never had a term relationship when the time is right or should I just hide this side of me and voice my opinion when there is a problem. Because of this side of me, I can come across a bit childish, playful and not very serious though I am very serious at work and with my friends who know me for a time. With men, I am silly maybe even a bit immature. Thanks M
