Well for over a year now dc's father has been employed as a gym trainer and teaches martial arts/judo from 5:30 pm to 8:30 Friday nights. We have gone all around the issue I shift the days, I let him pick up early I have allowed Saturday start time, but now he always has "interviews" (right, meaning another off the books job) on Mondays and insists on Friday evenings. So the past two times I have delivered dc to the "gym" on Friday evenings, there has been nobody to watch him while my ex teaches. He has him sit in a second room a sort of lounge/locker room with a window into the studio there is an elevator and a stairwell in the room and it is dim. So tonight I was waiting for him to come out and greet us and settle my dc, but it was "parent night" apparently and he ignored us completely. I was double parked and grew increasingly preturbed. My dc hates it. It is 7 pm and he shoul;d be gettng ready for bed not in a workout studio and my ex cannot give him his full attention and is not even in the same room! I have asked an attorney who was just a consult, who says I must comply with the visitation days and times, and I have asked my ex not to make my sit through 4 hours of classes. So tonight I left with my and left a msg saying forget it you come and get him when you are not working tomorrow. He was floored and ed me to return that he lines up someone to watch my (his girlfriend). So my next move? Just refuse to ever let him get him before his work shift starts (something I was doing) and on my weeks, I refuse to leave him unless ex has a babysitter, the girlfriend, or one of his adult daughters (who are always conspicuously gone wonder why!) My other thought is to him employer and say as custodial parent am appaled that they let this barely supervising of a 3 year old go on by an employee!
