If you are actively looking for another job there's not much you really need to do. Sure it sucks that you don't get to him, but that's the life of people. Perhaps you can get up early on weekends and have breakfast with him, go for a walk around the neighborhood, a bike ride or whatever for an hour or two. Working 6 days a week is hard on you, it really sucks and drains you. You do have the advantage of having Monday off though, which being a weekday makes most interviews easier to fit in. You mentioned you work in a restaurant job. Perhaps you want to change your field of work. I'm not sure if you the work you do, you don't mention this, but if not maybe finding a job in an industry that is closed at night would be better.
