So you don't care. It is what it is. My family doesn't "reach out" very often either. We all prefer it that way. I have sisters. She is partially disabled, and doesn't care for visitors so we don't each other, except once in a decade or so. Its okay with both of us. One lives in AZ and I cant think of the last time I spoke to her. Her sons second wife(now ex-DIL) stated we all were a "bad influence". (Never did find out what she meant.) Sister won't go against the ex DIL, so we simply parted ways. I heard though the grapevine that divorced the nutcase, but the damage has been done. Too much water under the bridge. We have each others contact information should the need arise. Its okay with both of us. One lives a mile from me and we tolerate each other. She's good at manipulating people, regularly gets caught in lies, acts needy, and loves drama. She gets pissed because I won't fall for it. We understand each other. I help when its warranted, but I won't let her take advantage of me. Its okay with both of us. Once mom died, the ties that bind were well broken. Life is too short to worry about whether you "should" like siblings. If you do, you do. If you don't oh well, life goes on. I would donate a kidney if needed. Not because of being family, but because the genetic relationship. I'm not so sure about them . shrug But its okay
