  I'm 50, single parent by choice to a 9-year-old. (What can I say? Had him when I was 40, slipped in under the wire.) His father isn't in my life. He's on the East coast and we text occasionally.
  I am politiy progressive and an atheist. You don't have to be either, but honestly if you're very religious or very conservative it probably wouldn't work out. I'm sober 17 years. (Tried to be an outlaw but it didn't work out very well, and it turns out that I'm a hard-wired rules person.) A social/occasional drinker would not be a problem. I don't smoke.
  I am a very direct communicator, and am not great at picking up non-verbal social cues. I'm very mildly Asperger's, which generally means I'm not very intuitive socially. The upside of this is that I'm not manipulative, and for the most part you'll always know where you stand with me. I do have a functioning sense of humor, though, and am fully capable of empathy. I have friends who love me.
  I'm neither skinny nor obese. I'm 5'4" and a size 14. Some would consider that fat, I guess, I don't obsess about it much. (I have a basic hourglass configuration, as opposed to a spherical one.) I'm neither beautiful nor ugly. I'm a bit of a hippie. I'm told I clean up well.
  I would like to have an ongoing relationship. You really, really need to be completely single. I am looking for a steady boyfriend, and I don't have the time in my schedule to have a fuck-buddy. Besides, I'm not wired that way. You have to be someone I can integrate into my life. I'm not looking to be married or have someone take care of me. Not ruling out cohabitation ever ever ever, but that's not my agenda.
