Any attempt on my part to participate in a life outside the home usually ends with him beating Buffalo Ridge me, stalking me, me in one form or another. I have not had the opportunity to go and every attempt to establish life elsewhere ends in violence. I did however, get a "protection from -" order from our local judicial system and that has somewhat tamed the violence, but I still want out from the entire situation but honestly fear for my life. If I leave the "protection from -" order not stop him from me. I seem to remember commenting on this topic some months ago. I feel that those who seek gender-segregated spaces should have them available without feeling wrong about it Queer or Straight. There's a special interaction that takes place when you have a group all of the same gender. However, I have a problem with "powerbroking" gender-specific space as nothing more than a tool of male domination. I prefer mixed (male, female, straight) crowds in most club or bar settings. and straight meat markets bring out some ugly behaviors in people that I really don't care for and a mixed crowd diffuses the meat-market factor considerably. I would have a problem with "invasion" of erotic space. There was an article sometime back about straight women going to a local male strip club. If I were a patron, I'd have a huge problem with sharing that space with females. But it's never come up and I get the impression that men have far less to worry about female "invasion" than females do about male "invasion".
